Many of us don’t grow up seeing a chiropractor for regular maintenance care.  Some people first seek out chiropractic care after an injury or accident.  Others wait until aches and pains interfere with their ability to move, sleep, or lead an active life.

Some people experience relief after the first treatment.  Often it requires a few visits to see improvement.  We’re always pleased to see our patients experience relief, and hear how much better they feel.

Then what?

Healing is a multi-step process.  The first step is relief; the next step is wellness.  Just because an injury has stopped hurting doesn’t mean that it is fully healed.  Further chiropractic treatments support proper healing.

It might be easy to think that if you don’t feel the ache any longer, that you’re healed.  But if the root cause of the ache isn’t addressed, the familiar pain will eventually return.

A patient is discharged when their concern has been fully treated.  At this point, we recommend that patients go on a maintenance schedule.

Maintenance care is essential preventative care.

With periodic treatments, we can stop many aches or injuries before they occur.

Do you work in an environment where you sit most of the day?  Your musculoskeletal system is vulnerable to stress-related injuries.

Are you an athlete?  You will want to take measures to guard yourself against sports injuries and strains.

If you perform repetitive motions at work, you will benefit from extra support.  If your job places additional demands on your shoulders, back, or joints, chiropractic care is essential.

Maintenance care keeps your body in good health, so you will feel feel fewer aches and pains down the road.

Your chiropractor will recommend a maintenance schedule tailored to your individual needs.

Wellness is an ongoing journey.  Chiropractic care provides excellent relief in a crisis.  Optimum health is achieved by taking proactive measures to avoid running into problems in the first place.

Your chiropractor will recommend a maintenance schedule for you.  Some people will require support less often than others.  Generally speaking, most people respond best to maintenance visits once every 4-6 weeks.

Your chiropractor is an important part of your health care team, just like your dentist and family doctor.  And just like your dentist, regular maintenance visits will keep you feeling your best.

We treat people of all ages.  Give your children an advantage.  Don’t make them wait for accidents, aches, or poorly healed injuries.  They need a regular chiropractor too.
