Most people give their chiropractor a call if they have a sharp pain in their back or neck, but there are other, less obvious, signs that can act as early warning signals.

If any of the below apply to you, you should consider a visit to a chiropractor.

Firstly, you feel acute pain in joints or muscles. Chiropractors specialize in musculoskeletal complaints.  They can treat pain in the back and neck, as well as the shoulders, hips, knees, elbows, feet, etc.

Secondly, you rely on pain medication. Chiropractic care can address the root causes of your pain and alleviate your need for over the counter medication.

Thirdly, you’ve noticed a limited range of motion in your limbs, neck or back. If your body isn’t as flexible as it used to be, a chiropractor can help you regain normal range of motion.

Fourthly, if you’ve been in an accident or had an injury. Trauma from car accidents, sports injuries, falls, and other mishaps may not be immediately visible. Chiropractors are musculoskeletal experts who can treat trauma sustained in accidents.

Fifthly, you suffer from frequent headaches. Headaches can be an early warning sign of something wrong in the body. Chiropractic treatment can help to diagnose the cause of the headaches and make them stop.

Does your job involve repetitive motions?  If you perform the same motion over and over, all day, you may sustain strain injuries in time. You are at an even higher risk for injury if there are ergonomic flaws in your environment. Chiropractic care can treat these injuries.

It’s time to give us a call if you don’t already have your next appointment booked.  Maintenance care can help you to stay pain-free and make future injury less likely.

Visit a chiropractor if you want to be proactive with your health. Rather than waiting until you’re sick or in pain, you’ve made your health a priority. Your chiropractic team can work with you to help you achieve wellness.

Do you spend most of your day sitting? If you’re sedentary, your muscles may weaken and you may have an increased risk of stress injuries. Chiropractic care is an effective way to address the specific pressures of sedentary posture.

You have chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disease or other “invisible illness.” Chiropractic care can relieve the tenderness and pain often associated with these conditions.

You’ve been diagnosed with arthritis or another joint condition. Chiropractors are very familiar with arthritis and can relieve the pain and stiffness associated with joint conditions. Chiropractic care may also slow down the progression of wear on your joints.

Finally, see a chiropractor if the soles of your shoes have different patterns of wear. If your shoes don’t wear evenly, your body may be out of alignment. Your chiropractor can help you with an adjustment to address misalignments in the spine.
