Halloween is coming and there are skeletons everywhere, wishing everyone a happy trick or treat.

Do you think skeletons are spooky?  Living people didn’t often see their bones in the days before x-rays.  Therefore, they associated bones with death.  But our skeletons are working hard for us every day of our lives.

We wouldn’t get far without our bones to hold us up.  Tendons attach muscles to bones.  Muscles cause us to move.

Our spinal cords run down our backs.  They transmit nerve impulses to the rest of our bodies.  They tell our muscles when to move.

That’s why it’s called the musculo-skeletal system.

Chiropractors are specialists in the musculo-skeletal system.

It’s a chiropractor’s job to treat the everyday wear and tear we put on our bodies.  Regular chiropractic care supports our nervous systems and keeps them functioning at their best.  Chiropractic care reduces stress.  As well, it eliminates some types of headaches.  In addition, chiropractic care can help to relieve the pain of acute injuries.  Furthermore, it promotes proper healing.

Chiropractic care is natural and drug-free.  It can lessen or eliminate the need for over-the-counter painkillers.

This Halloween, when you see the skeletons hanging from doors and windows, take some time to think about your own skeleton.  Have you booked your next appointment for chiropractic care?  If not, call Sheppard Chiropractic Centre at (506) 635-8182 or (506) 847-7172.  We’d be happy to help you out.
