No one likes to think about being in a car accident.  It’s a scary proposition, but knowing what to do after an accident can give you some peace of mind.

The same advice applies to people who’ve experienced other kinds of accidents.   Tumbled off a ladder while putting up Christmas lights?  Fallen down the stairs?  “Wiped out” while skiing, skating or snowboarding?  Experienced a body check while playing hockey?  Lost your balance, or slipped on the ice, and landed hard?

Make an appointment to see your chiropractor as soon as possible after any kind of accident.

Even if you don’t feel any discomfort right away, you might have an injury you aren’t aware of.  Your spine is likely out of alignment.  Coming in to see your chiropractor—your musculo-skeletal expert—will allow us to examine you and start treating any problems right away.

If you’ve been in a car accident, symptoms of whiplash may not occur for weeks or even months afterwards.  If you’ve fallen, you might not know that your body’s sustained an injury until you start to feel the long-term effects.  Sometimes it’s hard to associate your current pain, headaches, or reduced mobility with an incident that happened weeks or months previously.

That’s why it’s important to take pro-active action and look after your own health.  If you’ve had a fall, been in an accident, or put a lot of stress on your body, it’s time to call your chiropractor.

Phone Sheppard Chiropractic Centre at (506) 635-8182 or (506) 847-7172 and make an appointment.  Don’t wait for “mystery” pain to make its appearance somewhere down the road.
