Halloween is over and Christmas is on the horizon.  Pretty soon we’ll all be swept up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

Before the holidays begin – do this!

Once the holiday season is in full swing, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.  We may overlook certain things – such as making the most of our health insurance.

Many health insurance plans re-set in the New Year.

You or your partner may have health insurance coverage through work or school.  Health insurance is a benefit designed to assist you when you visit certain types of health care providers.  For many plans, these providers include dentists, optometrists, and chiropractors.

Most people visit health care providers for regular check-ups.  This is true for chiropractors as well as dentists and optometrists.

If you haven’t been to the chiropractor in some time, you’re probably due for a maintenance visit.  Maintenance care will help keep you at your best.  Also, if parts of your body have been under strain, if you’ve suffered a minor injury, or if you’re feeling stressed, chiropractic care can help your body to recover.

If your insurance coverage re-sets in January, you only have until the end of December to make the most of your plan for 2020.

How long has it been since your last visit to your health care providers?  It may be time for some check-ups!

Don’t forget your children!  They may also be covered on your insurance plan.  Children need health care just as adults do.

Details of insurance coverage are private, between a person and their insurance company.  We recommend you call your insurance company if you have questions about your coverage.  These questions include:  if you don’t know what kind of care you’re covered for, how much coverage you have, how much coverage you’ve used this year, when your insurance plan re-sets, or whether you’re eligible for direct billing.  Your insurance provider will be able to answer these confidential questions.
