Are you having difficulty coping with back pain?  Most of us will experience back pain at some point in our lives.

A significant number of people don’t know how to treat back pain.

Will bed rest help you when you’re coping with back pain?

Studies have shown that bed rest does not cure back pain.  Sometimes it even hinders recovery.

Unfortunately, if you have chronic back pain, you cannot simply spend a few days in bed and hope the pain will go away on its own.

The problem with painkillers

Painkillers are problematic because they only mask symptoms.  They don’t do anything to treat the condition that causes the pain in the first place.  If you’re lucky, painkillers will keep you comfortable while you heal—but there are many conditions that will not simply heal themselves.  Pain is a warning that something is wrong.

Remember that painkillers, like most medications, have side-effects.  These side-effects become an even greater concern when you are using painkillers regularly.  Painkillers are best when used to help you through minor, temporary discomfort.

If you are reaching for painkillers to function on a regular basis, it’s time to treat the cause of your pain.

“This is normal” — or is it?

Some people try to accept that they are just going to be in pain for the rest of their lives, and it’s time for them to accept that they will have to give up activities, skip tasks, and struggle through daily discomfort.

Don’t resign yourself to pain before exploring other options.

Chiropractic care offers safe, effective treatment for coping with back pain.

Chiropractic care targets the source of lower back pain rather than just covering up the symptoms.

Some people will feel relief after their first treatment, while others require a few treatments before the pain subsides.  Further chiropractic treatments will support the healing process.

Chiropractic care can treat lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, foot and ankle pain, and upper and middle back pain as well.

Many studies have proven the effectiveness of chiropractic for lower back pain.
