Valentine’s Day is coming up soon! If you’ve got someone special in your life, you can consider this post to be your reminder to make dinner reservations, order flowers, or pick up a special gift.
When we’re kids, it’s always fun to get Valentines from our classmates at school. As we grow older, Valentine’s Day is a reminder to show our family members that they are loved and appreciated. And if we’re in a romantic relationship, Valentine’s Day is the day we show off just how romantic we can be.
But when we’re planning the perfect evening while getting Valentine kits for our children and cards for our family members, it’s important to remember another someone special—ourselves.
It’s easy to get caught up in doing things for other people. And it’s great when we can make another person smile. But we need to remember to also take care of our own needs. It’s too easy to focus on others at the expense of our own health.
This Valentine’s Day, take some time to be thankful for your body, which allows you to experience all the wonders of life. Remember that your loved ones would like you to take care of yourself, so you can feel your best. Then consider what you can do for your own health.
Give a Valentine to yourself.
Make some choices that will help you feel better. How long has it been since you last saw your chiropractor, your family doctor, your dentist, or your optometrist? Have you fallen into some bad habits – too much junk food, not enough sleep, too much alcohol, not enough exercise? It’s never too late to make a positive change.
If you haven’t already scheduled your next chiropractic maintenance appointment, call 847-7172 (Rothesay) or 635-8182 (Saint John).
The staff of Sheppard Chiropractic Centre wish you a very happy Valentine’s Day!
